Hong Kong captain Anshuman Rath is only 20 years old, India has the special relation

Today in the Asia Cup, that is, today India is going to launch its campaign. India’s first match is from Hong Kong. Hong Kong is one of two qualifying qualifiers for the tournament. His 20-year captain has a big hand in qualifying for the tournament in Hong Kong.

Captain Anshuman Rath of Hong Kong is a special part of India. Anshuman’s parents are originally from Odisha. 20-year-old Anshuman is currently doing graduation in Economics from the UK as well as international cricket. Anshuman’s father is originally from the Odisha state of India.

They still come to India to meet their relatives and feel very close to the country. Anshuman’s father settled in Hong Kong in the 90’s. Anshuman was born there and grew up.

In addition to the captaincy in the team, Anshuman also plays the responsibility of wicketkeeping. Anshuman dreamed of being a cricketer after seeing former India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. Seeing Sachin’s batting at the age of just six years i.e. 2003 World Cup, Anshuman was so impressed that he decided that he had to play cricket only. In 17 matches, Anshuman has made 755 runs so far.

Anshuman is just 20 years old but in Hong Kong, he is compared to Dhoni. Indeed, he is a wicket-keeper batsman like Mahi. He was handed over the captaincy of the team at a very young age. He has a hundred in his name and his highest score in ODIs is 143 not out.
