London: England’s women team lost to South Africa in the first match but in the second match, they defeated New Zealand by 54 runs to top the women’s T20 triangular series table. The format of the tournament is in such a way that each team has to play two matches a day and tomorrow was England’s turn. When the tournament started, then against South Africa twice in a day, it would be a new record for the T20 total score.
New Zealand scored 216 runs for a wicket against England, in the evening England scored 250 runs in three wickets. But South Africa was successful in convincing England by six wickets on Saturday. England was batting first, despite Tammy Beaumont’s 71, he could score 160 runs in five wickets. South Africa made Liz Lee’s 68 and Sun Let’s unbeaten 63 with four wickets for 166 runs.
