Shikhar Dhawan did amazing, became the first Indian to score a century in the first session

Bengaluru: In the historic Test match between India and Afghanistan, many new records were created and some matches started only after some matches started. In this Test match played at the MA Chinnaswamy Stadium, India’s opener Shikhar Dhawan made a new achievement in the first innings with a hundred in the first session. Shikhar has become India’s first batsmen to score a century in the first innings of any Test match.

It is worth noting that in the first innings of the Indian cricket team, Dhawan’s century of 104 not out, and 41 runs of Murali Vijay, in the first innings, had scored against Sri Lanka without any wicket and scored 158 runs.

Dhawan is the sixth batsman to score a century in the first innings of the first innings of any Test match at the international level. Prior to this list, the names of Pakistan’s Majid Khan include Victor Trumper, Charlie McCartney, Don Bradman and David Warner.

The Trumpster of Australia had scored a century in the first session in the 1902 Test against England in England in 1902, scoring 103 runs in the first session. Apart from this, in 1926 Australia’s only batsman Malkarty had done this against England. He scored 112 runs. Bradman, another Australian batsman, had achieved this feat by playing a 105-run innings in the first session in the first Test in Leeds on 1900 against England. After this, Majid of Pakistan had scored a hundred in the first session of the Test match against New Zealand at the Karachi Stadium in 1976-77, with 108 runs.

Australia’s David Warner has taken 5 places in this series. He achieved this feat by making 100 runs in the first session of the Test match played against Pakistan in 2016-17 in Sydney.

A unique but spam record and the name of the peak. Shikhar Dhawan did another record in addition to this achievement. After losing his wicket after lunch, Dhawan became the first batsman to get out in this match and the first wicket of Afghanistan Test history. He got the distinction of taking Afghanistan’s first Test wicket by Yamin Ahmadzai, caught by Mohammad Nabi.
