Kylian Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi made the most of their time away from PSG by jetting off to New York to watch the Brooklyn Nets beat the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night.
The pair both reached the final stages of the World Cup with France reaching the finals, while Morocco exited the semi-finals and eventually finished fourth.
They quickly returned from international duty to feature in both of PSG’s opening two games after the tournament, but the French champions slipped to a 3-1 defeat against Lens on Sunday.

Following that match, manager Christophe Galtier announced that he would give Mbappe and Hakimi ‘a few days off’ to recover after being recalled from Qatar.
After that decision, Mbappe and Hakimi traveled to see the Brooklyn Nets and San Antonio Spurs face off in the NBA, with the Nets coming out on top 139-103.
Kevin Durant was the star of the show as he scored 25 points, and the PSG duo posed for pictures with him on the court, with Hakimi holding a Nets jersey.
Mbappe posted a photo of the three boys on his Instagram with the caption ‘Special night’.
Hakimi congratulated the Brooklyn Nets players after their impressive win in New York
Mbappe and Hakimi spoke to the home team again after the match, with the former offering his congratulations as he greeted the players in the changing room.
‘Good game, guys. I congratulate you. It’s really fun to watch. Good luck with the season,’ said Mbappe as he walked into the dressing room.
The Nets are currently second in the Eastern Conference after winning 25 of their 37 games to date.
Meanwhile, PSG are set to return to action when they take on Chateauroux in the French Cup on Friday.
Galtier may decide he doesn’t need Mbappe and Hakimi to beat their lower-league opponents, meaning the pair may not play again until PSG’s next Ligue 1 match against Angers in January 11.
