LeBron James doesn’t have a prediction for the World Cup Final, but told reporters on Friday night that he expects an exciting match between France and Argentina.
Speaking to reporters after the Lakers’ 126-108 win over the Nuggets, James smiled when asked about his selection and later offered big praise to Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.
‘I won’t choose,’ he said.

‘I just want to see a great match like the rest of the world… it’s going to be a great one and I’m looking forward to seeing two of the best that ever played in the sport.’
The game will be tipped early at 7am local time in Los Angeles, though James, who is averaging 26.7 points per contest, has suggested he is ready for it.
Both Messi and Mbappe have been in fine form at the tournament, as both go into Sunday’s clash with a chance to win the Golden Boot in addition to the World Cup.
Messi and Mbappe have scored five goals each so far, with all of Mbappe’s from open play and Messi’s three from the penalty spot.

The Argentinean talisman also has three assists to his name in Qatar, including his brilliant setup for Julian Alvarez vs. Croatia, while Mbappe has two to his name.
However, only one has a World Cup title so far, with 35-year-old Messi getting his last chance to achieve that feat on Sunday.
Despite his rather vague response about the final, James is no stranger to the world of soccer, as he and business partner Maverick Carter have owned a two percent stake in Liverpool since 2011.
