Bronny James, Bryce James and Kiyan Anthony were the star attractions in one of the most anticipated high school basketball games on Monday night.
The superstar trio faced off in front of a celebrity crowd in Los Angeles, where the James brothers’ Sierra Canyon defeated Anthony’s Christ the King 62-51 to move to a 7-1 record for the season.
While the result may have mattered to some in the crowd, most were just there to see the sons of NBA legends LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony face off 21 years after their famous fathers first played in one and one.
The star-studded audience included Kim Kardashian, Scottie Pippen, Scotty Pippen Jr, Kenyon Martin, Penny Hardaway and Juju Watkins, as the game was broadcast live nationally on ESPN2.

At halftime, LeBron and Melo were pictured hugging each other on the court, before chatting at length – no doubt about their sons’ first half exploits.
The legendary NBA pair first played against each other in February 2002 at the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, New Jersey, with 11,000 fans in attendance.
Although there were fewer in Sierra Canyon on Monday, there was certainly some basketball royalty in the room to watch the action unfold.
Anthony and James played together on the Los Angeles Lakers last season, but Melo is currently a free agent as he weighs his next move.

During ESPN’s halftime interview, he explained his desire to return to the NBA, but admitted that any decision is currently out of his hands.
‘I realized there were a lot of things out of my control,’ he says. ‘So I can sit back and let it play out, and whatever happens, it happens and I accept that.’
On the court in LA Monday, Kiyan Anthony finished with 10 points, but he was only eclipsed by the impressive performance of Bronny James, who had 12 points.
However, the best player on the court was Sierra Canyon’s Isiah Elohim with 17 points, while Christ the King’s best player came in the form of Brandon Williams (16pts).
