Disgruntled Everton fans are planning to stage a sit-in demonstration at Goodison Park next month to protest their unhappiness at the club’s ‘incompetent’ management.
Frank Lampard’s side ended a three-game losing streak in the Premier League with a creditable draw at Manchester City on Saturday but five points from the last nine matches left the Toffees just one point off the bottom three.
The club – managed by majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri – faces the prospect of a second successive relegation battle, having avoided the drop in their penultimate game last season, and a fan pressure group is on the move.

Supporters want to show their opposition to their ‘incompetent owners’ – including Farhad Moshiri (L) and Bill Kenwright (R) following another relegation battle
Last season, the 27 Campaign (a reference to the number of years Everton have been without a trophy) organized several protests and rebranded as NSNOW (a name taken from the club’s motto Nil Satis Nisi Optimum ) they are planning more demonstrations.
The protests are set to begin with the match against Arsenal on February 4, which is Everton’s first at home after the transfer window closed and is televised live.
‘We invite you to join us in expressing our dissatisfaction with the incompetent management of our beloved football club by the current owner and board of directors,’ the group wrote in an open letter to fans.
Supporters are looking for a change at the top in a bid to overhaul the team’s fortunes
The Toffees are currently in 16th place after losing eight games this season
‘For too long our club has fallen behind our competitors on and off the pitch.
‘We believe it is time for change and only by holding those in power accountable can we hope to see our team thrive on the pitch again.
‘Therefore, we will be meeting immediately after the final whistle to make our voices heard and demand better leadership for the future of our club.’
In September, reports claimed that Moshiri – who took over the club in 2016 – was in talks to sell Everton for £400million to American businessman Maciek Kaminski.
After narrowly avoiding relegation last season, Everton have not fared much better this campaign. They are currently in 16th place, one point above the relegation zone after eight defeats from 17 games.
