Draymond Green says he received a death threat from a fan during the Golden State Warriors’ loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday – moments before security kicked the man out of the arena.
In the third quarter of the game, the four-time All-Star started talking to the fan as Giannis Antetokounmpo took a foul shot.
He immediately spoke to officials after the collision, and the man was ejected, which Green later explained to reporters about what happened.
When asked what was said, the Warriors star explained – and revealed that he almost became violent with a member of the crowd: ‘Uh some things that threatened my life,’ he began.
‘So you know, this is how close I am [as he holds his fingers close together] to dive back and want to dive all the way.

Draymond Green responded to the tease that he fired courtside security
He went to the officials and ordered the man out of the arena in Milwaukee
‘But just went back and told the officer. And when I told the officer what he said, he was like “oh, he’s got to get out of here.” Then he has to get out of here.’ A smile appeared on Green’s face as he finished the sentence, his hands clasped together in satisfaction.
Green would comment further on the matter as another reporter asked if he liked that ejecting a fan was an option, following an incident that saw Green fined by the league for arguing with a fan.
‘I can’t say that wasn’t an option. That’s kind of a choice,’ Green said. ‘ I think you know, there are times when you just know. And you responded so, that became an option.
‘That wasn’t like, “oh I just found out that’s an option once I got fined.” There it is. The league has made that very clear to us for years that, that’s been there. But like I said we’re all human and there are times when you just react.’
The Bucks said in a statement to Dailymail.com: ‘The dismissal of the fan is at the discretion of the referee. We are investigating the situation and talking to the NBA.’
Officers then spoke with security officers who came to court to identify the fan

The moment was reminiscent of both the 2021 incident in which LeBron James stopped an Indiana game and asked to remove two fans from the courtside, as well as the 2019 incident in which Russell Westbrook told a fan ‘I’ll f *** you up… you and your wife.’
It comes just a week after Westbrook got into an argument with another Bucks fan sitting courtside.
‘When obscene gestures and language come in, (it) will not be tolerated,’ James told reporters after the incident happened last year.
‘There’s a difference between cheering for your team and not wanting the other team to win and things I would never say to a fan, and they shouldn’t say to me.’
James also removed four fans from a game in Atlanta in February of 2021, after they were also rude to him.
In 2012, LeBron James went and pointed at a fan he wanted out of the arena in Indiana
The Bucks fan Westbrook recently got into an argument with was initially ejected from his seat but was later allowed back courtside according to WDJT-TV.
‘We don’t need to talk about it,’ Westbrook said after the game. ‘I will discuss this with the league. Just respect the game.
‘Sometimes, obviously, things are said throughout the game and being polite is the only thing I stand for. I don’t mind people coming to the game and goofing off and different things, but there’s a certain line that you don’t cross and I feel like it’s been crossed. I’ll hold on to it and move on.’
He made similar comments after the incident in 2019 when he said: ‘For me, I’m just not going to continue disrespecting my family.
‘I just think something needs to be done. There are some consequences for the types of people who come to the game just to say and do whatever they want to say. I don’t think it’s fair to the players — not just to me, but I don’t think it’s fair to the players.’
The same thing happened to Westbrook in 2019, and he shouted: ‘I’ll *** you up, you and your wife’
