The Charlotte Hornets have been dealt another injury blow this season as forward Kelly Oubre Jr. is slated to miss 4-6 weeks with a hand injury, according to The Athletic.
Oubre has been playing through pain from a torn ligament in his left hand this season and is scheduled to eventually undergo surgery to repair the issue.
Oubre is averaging a career high 20.2 points per game this season after suffering an injury to his shooting hand in week one. He also averaged 7.8 assists, six rebounds, and 1.3 steals

To this point this season Oubre has made 80 of his 3-point shots to lead the Hornets and his 260 3-point attempts rank 20th in the NBA.
The 27-year-old sat out three of four games in an attempt to rest the injury, but missed just 15 minutes in his return game against Oklahoma City.
Injuries to key players have been a theme in Charlotte this season as starting center Mason Plumlee, veteran starter Gordon Hayward, and Jalen McDaniels have all missed significant time this year.

McDaniels and James Bouknight have the best chance to see a significant increase in playing time in Oubre’s absence.
