Aston Villa have been damaged in the race to sign Weston McKennie from Juventus, with the £26million rated star keen on a move to the Bundesliga.
Unai Emery’s men are keeping tabs on the midfielder who has fallen out of favor in Turin having also attracted previous interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.
However, according to Tuttosport, McKennie is not keen on a move to the Premier League and his preferred destination is thought to be the Bundesliga.

McKennie starred for the United States during the recent World Cup held in Qatar
Borussia Dortmund are also in the hunt and are favorites to go ahead and secure a move for the United States international who impressed for the United States at the World Cup in Qatar.
McKennie’s representation reportedly held talks with Dortmund chiefs last month.
McKennie has previously played in the Bundesliga, joining Juventus from Schalke in 2021 having impressed for four seasons.

He has featured heavily in the Juve squad this term starting nine of the 12 matches he has been involved in in Serie A, scoring once and providing one assist.
He missed the Binaconeri’s last three matches before the World Cup though after pulling a muscle.
Despite featuring in the first team, Juventus may be keen to offload McKennie as the club announced they had a loss of €254 million on their books in September.
Since then the club has been hit by a scandal with the resignation of the club’s board of directors as a result of an investigation into inflated transfer fees.
