Lever Cup: When Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic played in the same team

Tennis giant Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic have fought 46 times in a row, ranging from regular matches to the finals of the tournaments. But on Friday night, both played the tennis together for the first time. Let’s tell you that Federer and Djokovic were playing for the second edition of the Liver Cup.

The pair of Federer and Djokovic defeated Jack Sock and Kevin Anderson in the United Center in the Liver Cup. Federer and Djokovic are playing for the European team while Sock and Anderson are playing for the world team.

Federer said on Thursday, “We have had good matches in all the singles courts and we are now playing together.” I think it is going to be very special for both of them. Federer said I think we still need to talk a bit about who is going to take the lead or how do we really play?

The pair of Federer and Djokovic have made the event more interesting, while World No. 1 Rafael Nadal and No. 4 Juan Martin are out of the tournament because of injuries. The Lever Cup includes 7 of the top 11 players. Djokovic won his 14th Grand Slam title by defeating Juan Martin in the US Open final.

It is worth mentioning that Djokovic and Federer met for the last time in the Cincinnati final on August 19, in which Djokovic won 6-4, 6-4. Djokovic is leading all-time series with 24 wins.
