Asia Cup 2018, BANVSL: Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by 137 runs in the first match. The first match of Asia Cup 2018 is being played at the international stadium in Dubai today, between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, chased down the target of 262 runs in the inaugural Asia Cup 2018 Asia Cup, standing on the verge of defeat. In the match played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the Bangladesh team could only manage 261 runs in 49.3 overs. The last wicket of the team as Rahim dropped. This is Rahim’s career sixth century and his highest score. For this, he faced 150 balls and added 11 sixes and four sixes.

Batting first, winning the toss, Bangladesh lost two wickets on two runs. Lasith Malinga was dismissed by Lt. Das (0) on the fifth ball of the first over, while Shakib Al Hasan on the next ball showed the path of pavilion without opening the account.

However, after leaving Mithun, Rahim struggled alone. He did not get a wicket-keeper batsman from the other end. Mehndi Hasan (15 runs), Musharraf Murtaza (11 runs) and Mustafizur Rahman (10 runs) reached the tenth position in the lower order.

Malinga took four wickets in the name of Sri Lanka Dhananjay D Silva got two wickets. Suranga Lakmal, Amila Aponso, and Thesara Pereira got one wicket each.
