Pakistan has entered the final by defeating Zimbabwe by 7 wickets in the fourth match of the T20 triangular series played at Harare.
Zimbabwe scored a score of 162/4, with the score of 94 for Man of the Match Solomon Mire, in response to which Pakistan achieved the target by just losing 3 wickets in the last over. This is the second win in Pakistan‘s three matches, while Zimbabwe’s third defeat in three consecutive matches.
Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first, but Solomon Mire gave the team good start with a 49-run partnership for the first wicket with Saffas Zhuwao (24). Captain Hamilton Masakadza could only make two runs, but on the other side, Solomon Maire batted with bat and struck off his first half-century in 32 balls and scored 63 runs in 63 balls with the help of 6 fours and 6 sixes.
He was unfortunate that he could not complete his century, but Zimbabwe made the record for the highest score in T20 Internationals. Mere broke the record of Hamilton Masakadza (93 * vs Bangladesh, 2016).
Mire added 64 runs for the third wicket with Trisha Musaqanda (33) and Zimbabwe made a respectable score of 162 in 20 overs. On behalf of Pakistan, Mohammed Amir, Fahim Ashraf, Shadab Khan and Hussain Talat took one wicket each.
In reply to the target, Fakhar Zaman (47), with 58 for the first wicket with Harris Sohail (16) and 37 runs for Hussain Talat (44) for the second wicket. Hussain Talat put on 43 runs for the third wicket with Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed (38 *) to put the team on the win and Sarfraz Ahmed, with Shoaib Malik (12), gave the team victory by remaining 5 balls. On behalf of Zimbabwe, Solomon Mire, Wellington Masakadza, and Chris Empu took one wicket each.
