Pakistan’s squad for ODI and T20 triangular series against Zimbabwe

A 16-member team has been announced for the 15-member and one-day series for the T20 series.

Pakistan has announced the squad for the 5-match ODI series against Zimbabwe and the T20 triangular series. A 16-member team has been announced for the 15-member and one-day series for the T20 series.

All-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has returned to the ODI and T20 team. After getting a clean chit of bowling action from the ICC, he has been included in the team. Apart from this, 22-year-old aggressive batsman, Sahibzada Farhan has been selected for the first time in the national team.

Opening batsman Ahmed Shehzad has not been included in the team due to being found positive in the Dope Test. They can also be suspended for some matches. Babar Azam has not been included in the T20 triangular series but he has got a place in the ODI series. If they are fit then they will play matches.

He was hurt during the first Test match against England. Leg-spinner Yasir Shah and Junaid Khan have also returned to the ODI team. Yasir Shah played his last one-day match against England in August 2016. At the same time, Junaid Khan played his last match against Sri Lanka in October last year.

Significantly, Pakistan’s team will visit Zimbabwe in July, where they will play Zimbabwe’s 5-match ODI series, besides the T20 triangular series with Australia and Zimbabwe. The triangular T20 series will be held from July 1 to July 8, while the one-day series will be played from July 13.
