Dhoni (216, 144 catches, 72 stumpings) broke the world record of Kamran Akmal (215, 123 catches, 92 stumpings) of Pakistan after catching Ravichandran Ashwin’s catch during the IPL 2018 56th match. Apart from this, Dhoni also made the world record for the most catches in T20 cricket and broke the record of Kumar Sangakkara (142).
Mahendra Singh Dhoni made his two world records in his 291th match. In T20 cricket, Dhoni has so far represented India, Chennai Superkings, Rising Pune Superjaints and Jharkhand. It is noteworthy that in addition to T20, Dhoni has the world record of most victims (78, 49 catches, 29 stumpings) and most catches as wicketkeepers in T20 internationals.
