Port Elizabeth: The victory in the series against South Africa, the first position in India’s One Day Rankings. India has won the first position in the ICC One Day Rankings by scoring the series by South Africa in the fifth match of the six one-day series by 73 runs.

India has got a 4-1 unbeaten lead in six matches series now. In the match played in Port Elizabeth on Tuesday, South Africa won the toss and decided to bowl first, thanks to India’s Rohit Sharma of the century, the Indian team made 274 runs for seven wickets in the 50 overs. Rohit Sharma played 115 innings with 11 squares and four sixes, it was 17th cent of Rohit Sharma’s fast-growing career.

Apart from Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan 34, Virat Kohli 36 and Sharia Ace 30, were featured by South Africa, but Nagie Navigate was once again successful and he got four wickets. In the match for South Africa to win series, victory was inevitable, but South Africa’s entire team scored 201 runs in the 43rd over in pursuit of 275 runs.

South Africa opener Hashim Ammalah and Murram gave a relatively good start in the pursuit of 275 runs and scored no loss of 50 for the wicket, but there was a series of wickets that could not thrive.

The South Africa batsman again looks uncomfortable with Indian sniper. Hashim Amla was featured with 71 runs. India, Kallis Yadav, four, Azendra Chandil and Pandia two, while Bomra got one wicket.

With the victory in the series, India has won the first position by pushing South Africa to the second position in one-day international rankings. South Africa won 2-1 in the series in three test matches played earlier.
